TEMPORARY PERMIT |
A temporary
permit allows an immigrant to enter, re-enter and reside in Zambia for as long
as the permit is valid. It can be issued for periods of up to 90 days are
regional offices and up to two years if issued at Immigration headquarters.
If specifically stated on the permit, a temporary permit can be issued
for conducting business for a specified organization for the period in
which the temporary permit remains valid.

PROCEDURE FOR
APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY PERMIT

An immigration officer shall issue a temporary permit to any person
in respect of whom the Minister directs that such permit be
issued.
Application Steps
- Write a letter stating reasons
why a temporary permit is being applied for
- Obtain two recent passport size
photographs
- Collect supporting
documentation

Bank
Guarantee/return air ticket;
- Covering letter from prospective
company to the Chief Immigration Officer
