VISAS

3.jpgA visa is an endorsement on a visa form or in a valid passport of a foreigner granting such person authority to enter Zambia within a specific period upon examination by an Immigration Officer at the port of entry.

An Immigration Officer at the port of entry shall determine the period of stay in Zambia.  The validity of the visa is NOT the period, which the holder is entitled to remain in the country but a period within which the holder has to enter Zambia.

If a visitor has questions on their visa requirements, they must follow these 4 steps:

  1. Determine whether a visa is needed by visiting the "Do I need a visa?" page.
  2. If one needs a visa, then one should read the general visa guidelines on theVisa Guidelines page to help determine the type of visa needed and where to apply for it.
  3. Then one must determine the appropriate visa fees to pay which can be viewed on the Visa Fees page.
  4. Finally, one must apply for a visa which can be done by following the procedures outlined on the Visa Application page.
