25-11-2022 – The Department of Immigration has decentralized the printing of Long-Term Permits to three (3) Regional Immigration Offices. This development means that from Friday, 25th November 2022, the printing of Employment, Investor’s, Spouse, and Residence Permits, which previously could only be done at Immigration Headquarters, will also be done at the Ndola, Livingstone, and Solwezi Regional Immigration Offices.

The decentralization of this function will make it more convenient and cost-effective for the Department’s clientele outside Lusaka who have had to travel long distances to collect their approved Long-Term Permits. The decision is in line with the Government’s decentralization policy. The Department plans to roll out the printing of Long-Term Immigration Permits to the remaining Regional Immigration Offices in 2023.
